Verdict

Rio Ronaldo has been going well at Windsor lately and shouldn't be far away but VALLEY OF FIRE probably wouldn't need to improve much on his second over 7f at York to be in the firing-line and he gets the vote. Barnet Fair is more than capable of getting involved in a race like this off his current mark and Captain Bob is also well treated at present. Young John wasn't winning out of turn at Windsor and Mustallib is the least exposed in this. Misterioso has done nothing wrong this year and, though raised for his third at Newmarket, is another worthy of consideration. Little Palaver was ahead of Flowers On Venus when third at Nottingham last month and appears to be running into form so may be best of the rest.
