Nottingham winner Lexington Abbey is upped in class and Dougan makes more appeal on the back of a couple of placed efforts in this grade. Royal Birth beat Bowson Fred at Chelmsford last month and can race off a lower mark back on Turf while Hoofalong scored at the same track before going in again at Musselburgh when ahead of Duke Of Firenze and DESERT LAW. The latter pair can reverse running on much better terms today with Paul Midgley’s charge making most appeal having finished third in last year’s renewal ahead Robot Boy with Secretinthepark further back. Moonraker went close on the all-weather at Newcastle a fortnight ago but Maljaa has yet to match last year’s best efforts so far this season.
