Verdict

High Jack is probably still on the up and the booking of AP McCoy takes the eye, however FIT TO DRIVE impressed last time and is taken to win again; Baseball Ted joins Classic Role and Quillan Hill on the shortlist. This looks competitive and stakes should be kept to a minimum. The selection races off a mark of 112 today, having won well in Novice company last time at Leicester. Whilst that form may not be anything truly out of the ordinary, all of his runs over fences have been promising including a good fifth to Oracle Des Mottes at Exeter. Classic Role benefited from a good pace just two days ago when getting the better of Russian Flag late on; a 7lb penalty in a better race makes life tough however. Hope Road and Baseball Ted are both consistent but the latter is proving frustrating having seemingly been well-handicapped, Red Man Ray needs to get over a poor run at Newbury, whilst High Jack may appreciate today's slightly better ground than when second to Ours at Leicester. Quillan Hill's jumping let him down when last seen, and so it is Fit To Drive who gets the nomination.
