    Verdict

The form of MISSIONAIRE's maiden win has worked out well and he could be worth chancing at a price given that Party Doctor and Lamh Albasser are likely to be short enough. Tom Dascombe's charge has sound credentials having shown promise on debut before chasing home the potentially top class pair Arcano and Showcasing at Newbury. He gave a further boost to that form when finishing third to Big Audio in the Chesham and has to be viewed as the likeliest winner whilst the trainer saddled one of his lesser lights to finish a neck second last season. Lamh Albasser ran out a ready winner of a Newmarket nursery; only three of those in behind have run since and two have won including the last home. He won with plenty in hand and looks capable of making a successful step up to this level and quite possibly beyond as his entries for the Royal Lodge and Champagne Stakes suggest. Invincible Prince beat a couple of fair sorts on debut, has a Champagne Stakes entry and is expected to make considerable progress from his first start when he surprised connections. The Kempton maiden has worked out well with the third winning his maiden, the fourth a Listed race and the fifth going close. The selection had Nideeb behind when winning his maiden and Clive Brittain's charge had clearly improved when bounding clear of the field at Yarmouth in a good time. However, we'll take the expensive American bred colt to come out on top again as there's every chance that this surface will suit Missionaire who is another with a Royal Lodge entry.
