        Verdict

        Isphahan is consistent but we may find that the handicapper has finally caught up with him; preference instead then is for top-weight GOLD SOVEREIGN with Extraterrestrial rated as the main danger. Officially rated 99, the selection is not far away from a crack at better company, probably Listed company in the future. A winner on quick ground on his reappearance at Redcar, he has since run well on softer ground and the form reads as very solid. Curzon Prince was impressive when winning last time at Sandown and he must be respected, however an 8lb rise in the weights and quicker ground makes him opposable. Mut'Ab has been highly tried in the past but his profile doesn't encourage a bet, whilst Danehillsundance is well-treated on old form but is not one to trust implicitly. Isphahan has risen 19lb since the start of the season, but he may struggle today especially given the fact that he is 7lb out of the weights. Zebra Crossing is an interesting contender; off the track for some time, the horse has won the South African Derby before and could be the fly in the ointment. A tough race, but punters can leave in profit by backing Gold Sovereign.
