Verdict

An interesting five-runner Listed event for fillies with the nod going to Sir Michael Stoute's Fantasize. The form of her Leicester maiden win has worked out well (the Fred Darling winner Tante Rose finished third and she has the scope to make up into a nice three-year-old. Khaizarana's Newmarket win did not read like a good race, while Definite Article's half-sister, Summer Spice has something to prove after being well beaten in the Masaka Stakes. Clive Brittain is renowned for tilting at windmills but Medusa will need to have improved from her Pontefract second to Muwajaha. Karathaena was behind Khaizarana when they made their debuts last August and, being related to Darshaan on her dam's side, she is likely to appreciate further in time.
