Verdict

Tugalu can make experience count over Safebreaker, with Nickel Silver and Quest For Success the other main contenders. Experience counts for a lot in these type of events, and with that in mind, Tugalu is taken to break an exasperating run of seconds. Kevin Ryan's juvenile was sent off as favourite at York last time, but found one too good in the shape of Excitement, to whom he was conceding 5lb. As long as he copes with the ground, Tugalu has the form to come out on top here. Safebreaker finished a place behind a much more fancied stablemate on his Hamilton debut, and although showing promise, will need further in time. Nickel Silver is learning all the time and hails from a stable always to be feared in this department, but is an unknown quantity on the ground, while Quest For Success has been beaten in two better-class races since finishing runner-up over the course-and-distance in August. He has to be be feared as well, but it is Tugalu that gets the nod.
