Verdict

Speedy Sam is narrowly preferred here over Secret Liaison and Grey Outlook. The selection shaped well on his debut before putting in another encouraging effort last time at York when finishing second behind Austrian. Nominal improvement should make him hard to beat today and he is taken to lead them home. Secret Liaison hails from a yard that merits plenty of respect in these type of events but he was a little disappointing last time at Kempton and a watching brief on the market is advised. Grey Outlook failed to get home over 9f last time so the return to a mile will see him in a better light today, and he has also shown that he can handle cut in the ground. Azurine is dropped in trip and Mark Johnston's stable are beginning to find their form so this filly has to be of interest. However, for the winner we will stick with Speedy Sam.
