Verdict

Hits Only Life looks the one to be with in this finale and he gets the vote over Subsidise and William John. The selection caught the eye last time at Nottingham when finishing powerfully to finish second behind Raise The Heights. The step-up in trip seemed to suit that day and although he is not the most straightforward, he gets the vote. Subsidise has got an obvious chance but he has yet to prove that he sees out this trip and he has been disappointing on both of his recent outings. He is bred to stay this far so he should not be dismissed lightly, but we will take him on at the forecast odds. William John was a fair third behind European Dream at Newcastle last time, but he has since been a beaten favourite which has given the form a knock. Rivetting would be interesting if there was any market confidence, but for the winner we will stick with Hits Only Life.
