Verdict

Attention Seeker won twice on the Flat in August and reverted to hurdles with a good run over a trip too short at Catterick. Conquer Gold has had very little racing for his age but won a staying chase at Bangor in March and will probably be back over fences shortly. Presenting Rose looked a nice prospect when completing a double at the beginning of last year but hasn't run for over a year and may just need this. Yeats Baby looked a likely future winner when runner-up at Warwick in May but changed stables and will have needed last month's comeback. Dark Sunset won a couple of very minor races then didn't act on heavy ground at Carlisle and, like WIDE AWAKE, should do better on today's ground. The latter was making his handicap debut and having just his fourth start when staying on strongly over this trip at Sedgefield and should improve enough to get off the mark. Our Valentina travels over from Ireland but, like Paper Roses, has a long absence to overcome.
