In depth

Verdict

Rare Breed, Miss Lovat and Brazilian Style are the three for the shortlist here, with preference for Brazilian Style. With the relatively small field containing a couple of newcomers, and the form of the others a little inconclusive, this is a tentative affair from a betting perspective. Miss Lovat ran well in a better class race at Chester last time and will find this easier. She has shown progressive form and is bound to be thereabouts. Rare Breed has just had the one outing but acquitted himself well at Haydock and improvement can be expected. He too must go close. Brazilian Style ran well on her debut to be second and then finished last of three on her latest start. Having said that, she was beaten only eight lengths by Flashy Wings who won the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. Admittedly, it is dangerous to take the form literally in a three runner affair, but Brazilian Style gets the vote.
