Verdict

Azzuri is potentially well treated on his novice form which included a victory over a subsequent dual winner at Huntingdon last month. Newcastle runner-up Lycidas deserves consideration as he’s slipped down the handicap. Fairlee Grey is a previous course and distance winner but so is PRAIRIE TOWN and it’s Tony Carroll’s six-year-old who gets the nod. He was in the process of running a decent race in the Imperial Cup last month when falling at the last and was then a close-up third at Newbury where he wasn’t suited by making the running. G'day Aussie is upped in class and Captain Brown is probably being readied for a summer campaign.
