With a top conditional jock all but negating SCRAPPER SMITH's mark rise for success last time out we're happy to side with the gelding in this competitive handicap and the expense of Under Review and Hawkeyethenoo. An easy enough winner over course and distance last time the pick has suffered a fair looking mark rise of four pounds. However most of that is removed by his pilot and this relatively unexposed runner can go in again. Under Review looks a lot better in the handicap now after starting his career in these ranks under high burdens. A further pound has been removed for a good run in defeat in a big field last time and he looks a challenger. Hawkeyethenoo is on top form and should still be completive off this weight and Vernico has put in some consistent performances recently but leaves the impression a lower mark is required before he goes in. More competitive stuff and Scrapper Smith looks the best treated.
