In depth

Verdict

In this sprint, Riquewihr gets the call ahead of Geojimali and Big Bradford. A good run off today's mark from Riquewihr last time behind subsequent winner Folga reads well in the context of this race and she can go well. Geojimali lacks nothing in consistency and, even though he has finished runner-up in each of his last four starts, he has not been beaten far so is respected. Flying Edge is now rated just three pounds above his September winning mark and, with a good claimer taking off five pounds, is respected too, while Big Bradford races over this trip for the first time since running well over it at Windsor last year from a nine pounds higher mark, so has to be given a chance based on that. Prospect Court comes here in good heart and cannot be ruled. Neither can Fairgame Man based on the fact that he now races from just a pound above a winning mark from last August. All in all, a tricky race, with the selection being Riquewihr.
