In depth

Verdict

Desert Hunter gets the call here ahead of Nautico and The Salwick Flyer. Desert Hunter is closely weighted with Seesawmilu based on their recent Catterick runs and, with both of them looking capable of improvement, they both look set to be competitive today. Nautico made late headway last time and the extra furlong could well suit so he is not ruled out of a good run. He is also racing in first-time blinkers and is closely weighted with Newkeylets, who also races in first-time blinkers. The Salwick Flyer was flying at the finish at Hamilton last time and is another that should appreciate the extra distance and Mandarin Grand seemed to show some improvement last time. Overall, though, we will stick with Desert Hunter.
