Verdict

The Salwick Flyer is a speculative choice in this desperate affair. A Big Sky Brewing, Grand Diamond and Trimblestown bubble under on the shortlist. Trimblestown is on a long losing run and is in danger of totally losing the plot. This is a drop in grade for him, though and the move may instigate resurgence in his interest. Grand Diamond won at this level on his penultimate start but was hardly impressive when attempting to follow up at Musselburgh a fortnight ago. Drying ground would be in his favour, though, so all is not lost with him yet. A Big Sky Brewing has hit the post on numerous occasions and deserves a change of fortune. However, his will to win has to be questionable and he is not one to trust implicitly. Therefore, it can pay to give The Salwick Flyer another chance to shine at his local course. The five-year-old will be suited by the conditions and, having shown plenty of zest in each of his last two starts, Linda Perratt's gelding is worth a punt in a race where he may be capable of dictating the tempo from the off.
