In depth

Verdict

Pat's Pearl won a maiden hurdle at Bangor in August bur has been well beaten back in Ireland since then. Dual bumper winner Better Getalong never figured in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March and makes his hurdling bow along with Captiva Island, who has placed in a couple of bumper races. Point-to-point winner SAINT FREULE was having his first start since February when making his hurdles debut at Hexham recently. He shaped well enough in second despite not threatening the winner and Lucinda Russell’s charge may prove good enough in this.
