In depth

Verdict

New Abbey Angel was still beaten three lengths when runner-up over track and trip but finished ahead of both Joyful Star and Rioja Day. Captain Peaky finished closer on his latest start having slipped down the weights but LET RIGHT BE DONE was placed in what looked a tougher race at Musselburgh last week. With an apprentice’s allowance further helping his cause today, Linda Perratt’s charge gets the vote to return to winning ways.
