Verdict

There will be some long faces at Ballydoyle if CYPRESS CREEK doesn’t open his account in this. Brother to three winners including last year’s St Leger hero Capri, he has an entry in the Irish St Leger later this year so will be expected to make short work of these despite having found stablemates Southern France and Giuseppe Garibaldi too strong in a couple of races this term. Baliyad has got nowhere near in his two run to date but has a nice pedigree and should be capable of better. King D'Argent was beaten out of sight by the selection at Leopardstown last month and it’s hard to see a form reversal.
