Verdict

Uncle Taffy progressed nicely over hurdles and though showing little in his first season over fences is the type to do better. South Wing won a couple of handicaps over timber last summer and can do well over the bigger obstacles as can the lightly-raced Eirland, who has experience over fences having finished fourth behind King Of Redfield at Kilbeggan. ABSOLUTLYFANTASTIC and The Bull Hayes both ran in the race won by His Excellency at Killarney, which looked a strong event. The former finished a couple of lengths in front of his rival and as that was his first run over fences should come out on top again and take this. Fearnwood Girl has shown nothing over fences in three starts but they have all been in much better company than this so she's not discounted.
