Verdict

Timi Roli has been beaten at odds-on in his last two starts though has looked in need of a stiffer test of stamina which he should get here. Some rain would help his cause but he's penalised for a victory on the Flat in France so the vote goes to GREAT KHAN, who appears to act on any ground and has produced two fine runs at around this trip at Kilbeggan. Penance chased home the well-regarded Dorans River at Downpatrick and the winner could give the form a boost in the opener while Riverrainshine ran easily his best race to date over the track and trip earlier this month. Muhaafiz is still carrying a penalty for last year's Flat victory.
