In depth

Verdict

Chase form is rather thin on the ground here but Mylord Collonges looks to be a progressive performer in this sphere and has leading claims. However, we'll side with Atouchbetweenacara. Anything that the selection did over hurdles was going to be a bonus but he was always held in high regard by Suzy Smith and he was a shade disappointing after debut. He made a satisfactory debut for this yard in October and they have plenty of room to work with from his initial mark if he takes to chasing. Mylord Collonges is 16lbs higher than when winning the first of two races at Leicester but, now that he's got the bit between his teeth, looks capable of further progress. Woodview and Pencil House have ability but the former is quirky and the latter will need to jump much better than he did last time if he's to feature. El Batal is worth a second look as are Joe Brown and Present Gale but our preference is for Atouchbetweenacara.
