Verdict

A number here are seeing the track for the first time in several months, and among them is our selection NATIVE CORAL, who we think has the beating here of The King of Angels and Jim Bobs Girl. The selection is towards the lower end of the weights, and may be held up early on. An impressive hurdler, the switch back to chasing saw him finish a disappointing fourth last time out in April, but as long as there's not too much cut in the ground he has to be seen as the one to beat. The King of Angels will need to defy top weight to win. He's wearing first-time visors as he seeks to go one better than last time out here, when narrowly beaten here in August by He's The Gaffer, who Tony McCoy subsequently rode to another success shortly afterwards. Jim Bob's Girl has made the frame in her last seven outings, and gains weight from all bar one here. She found a couple too good last time out when hurdling, but is certainly well capable of winning again. She's a genuine type, and backers should certainly get a run for their money.
