MCMURROUGH is one to stay on the right side of and he can get the better of Grasscutter and Shut The Bar. Malcolm Jeferrson is an under-rated trainer and this 5-year-old is eased in grade after finishing down the field last time out. He remains unexposed and in this company he can break his duck. Grasscutter looks the chief danger and he has been threatening to win a race for a while. However, he has been off the track for some time and there is a suspicion that he might be sharper for this outing. Shut The Bar is lightly-raced and he lost no caste in defeat last time when he finished third behind Red Lancer at Exeter. He should be capable of winning races and he has to be on the shortlist. Douglas Julian is an interesting newcomer and he is certainly worth a market check on his debut. However, we will stick with McMurrough who looks the one to beat.
