In depth

Verdict

AWSAAF completed a hat-trick here last summer and returned to wining ways at Leicester a week ago. He has a 5lb penalty to carry but is due to go up 6lb from next week so is theoretically well treated. Cappananty Con was second over 6f at Lingfield last Saturday and won twice over the minimum at Wolverhampton last year but he is 0-14 on Turf. Grandstand has run once a week since the resumption but the quicker going could bring about some improvement while Lingfield runner-up Toolatetodelegate, a previous course and distance winner, can’t be ignored.
