A low grade claiming race that shouldn't take too much winning and Barbilyrifle could be the one to be on, with Borzoi Maestro, and Imperium the likely dangers. Hughie Morrison's gelding won over this course last summer, and after two fruitless trips to the all-weather, bounced back to form with an excellent third behind Stamford Blue in a Leicester seller. If anything this event is slightly weaker and he must have a great chance of landing the spoils. Borzoi Maestro is taking a big step down in grade after contesting a class B handicap at Doncaster last time. He is rated in the eighties so must have strong claims in this company. Imperium looks to a difficult task, giving weight away to the rest of the field, however he has shown plenty of ability over this sort of trip to warrant respect here. Of the others Rocket comes from a top yard and is open to improvement, but Barbilyrifle appears to be the most consistent of these and is given the vote.
