In depth

Verdict

Royal Curtsy is from a top yard and must be checked out in betting, but the form horse appears to be Lady Zanzara who gets the verdict ahead of Burford Lass. The John Hills trained filly has been placed on her last four outings, including an excellent third behind Carmenero at Bath. The second, Bling has boosted the form on a couple of occasions and so she looks the one to beat this afternoon. Burford Lass finished third in a competitive handicap off a mark of 68, which does give her excellent claims in this type of company. Sir Mark Prescott trains Royal Curtsy, a daughter of Pivotal who is certain to know what is required. The best of the other newcomers could be Clive Cox's Royal Citadel, but on this occasion we will stick with experience and plump for Lady Zanzara.
