    Verdict

This appears to be a fair opportunity for Loua to get off the mark. Sofinella and Soothsay are seen as the main dangers from the rest. Soothsay fared as well as could have been expected on her debut and is sure to have benefited from the experience. However, being out of a Rainbow Quest mare, one would anticipate that she will be better over further than this, so she may need more time. Sofinella was an eye-catcher when she was introduced at Carlisle and shapes as if there are races to be won with her. Her trainer, Tony Carroll, does not have the best record in races of this nature but is still showing a healthy profit from those that have obliged this term. A careful monitoring of the betting is advised where this daughter of Titus Livius is concerned. Nevertheless, Loua has the edge in terms of experience and is given another chance to deliver on the promise he has shown on several previous occasion. If anything this slight drop in trip will help him get home and, after a more encouraging effort at Nottingham three weeks ago, Loua need only dish out a repeat dose to see off the challengers today.
