Verdict

GINGER NUT started out with a very promising run at Newmarket and started favourite at Salisbury but couldn't handle the heavy going and should be given another chance. Five Amarones ran well behind Carey Street at Pontefract and the winner runs in the opener at Beverley today. Cloud Seeding and Treasure Quest will both come on for their opening runs, especially the latter who ran well for a long way at Newmarket. With Mick Channon's horses still flying, the speedily-bred Barbill is one to keep an eye on.
