Pacific Paddy had Bluegrass Beau beaten three lengths in third when landing a minor event over an extended seven furlongs at Beverley last month and should confirm the form on 4lb worse terms. Ian Balding's charge has since put up a fair effort in defeat when a staying-on fourth in a competitive nursery over 7f at Goodwood and will appreciate the step up to a mile. Daisy Do has been knocking on the door in maidens and a fair Folkestone nursery last time but is creeping up the weights as a result and may have to settle for a place at best while the handicappper has taken no chances with recent Epsom winner, Boston Lodge, who is now 8lb higher and will find this a tough assignment as a consequence.
