Verdict

A tough one to call and MISARO is only a speculative selection to get the better of Filligree, Even Bolder and Desperate Dan. The last named has been a revelation of late and has done his connections proud. Quite whether he can go to the well and lap up another victory from his current mark is debatable, though. Even Bolder has only ever won at the height of summer and has been expensive to follow. Still, he is not without ability and can be on the premises at this level. As can Filligree, who gave Desperate Dan weight and a beating earlier in the month; so has a live chance of dishing out a repeat dose. However, she is 3lb high and, as she is now on a career highest mark, she is reluctantly passed over for win only purposes. This time in favour of Misaro, who is back on a winning mark and, as he can be guaranteed to go hell-for-leather from the start, the mount of William Carson is taken as a solid betting proposition today.
