In depth

Verdict

Altaira won over 1m2f here recently but is 6lb higher and has proved best over shorter trips so far. Doctor Jazz has struggled since scoring over today’s distance at Windsor while Highlife Flyer was soon beaten on his handicap debut over 2m at Goodwood. GEMINI never figured on her all-weather debut last time but it was firm going when she finished a close-up third to the progressive Altra Vita over track and trip before that and she gets another chance back at this venue. Jaquar may improve now handicapping with headgear fitted for the first time but will need to if he’s to figure.
