        Verdict

        On The Stage has been competing in much better company than this since winning a novice event at Kempton in May and makes his handicap debut. Tinto failed to cope with a 5lb rise for winning at Brighton when only third at Sandown and LONDON ROCK is preferred. The latter has improved with every start and after finishing runner-up at Ffos Las on his handicap debut, the Hannon colt gets the vote to open his account. The remainder are harder to fancy given this looks tougher than the selling race Ever Rock was placed in at Goodwood.
