Verdict

MONMARTRE is the form pick to land this seller at the expense of Mr Flannegan and Midnight Bay. The selection is only lightly raced with five runs under his belt. He has shown only a moderate amount of ability and was dropped into a seller for the first time at Chepstow last time out finishing fourth of twelve. That just about looks the best form on offer and as there is room for further improvement he is worth staying on the right side of for the time being. Mr Flannegan disappointed in a handicap at Salisbury last time out but had faired much better in a claimer on his penultimate run when finishing second to Danies Boy. He will be more at home against this company and warrants pleny of respect. Midnight Bay disappointed with first time visors in a seller at Lingfield last time out. They have been removed for todays race however, his form has looked only moderate and others are preferred. Monmartre only has to recapture his recent form to win and gets the strong vote.
