Russian War has to concede weight all round but made excellent progress to be beaten just a short-head by Queiros Bleu at Tipperary and looks a force to be reckoned with here. Im Suir was a big disappointment at Wexford after a good run on firm ground at Ballinrobe and can do better though QUANTUM THEORY gets the vote after a fine effort in a Gowran bumper last time. Elizabeth Doyle's charge had earlier finished runner-up to Cottage Oak over timber at Punchestown, form that looks just enough to take on Russian War at the weights. Kenaleck is held on that Punchestown run but looks to be on the upgrade and can get closer.
