In depth

Verdict

Danfazi and Peter Mac arrive on the back of maiden wins over today's trip. The latter has more scope and makes most appeal of that pair while Blockade's earlier fifth in the Hilary Needler over track and trip also brings her into the equation. Split Rock has been competing in better company and won't be far away with a repeat of his latest third to Lexington Rose at Musselburgh but a chance is taken on ALFAAYZA. Judging by the way she faded in the closing stages of her debut over 6f at Newmarket, this stiff 5f will suit Brian Meehan's filly and she gets the nod with big improvement expected.
