      Verdict

All but two of Positivity's last 20 runs have been at Southwell and all four of his victories have been there. Carlitos Spirit was never going to hold off Violent Velocity at the last meeting but ran well enough to be considered and he looks better than his stable's Powerful Pierre, who is looking a few pounds high in the weights. Mandhooma is just 1lb higher than when scoring at Brighton in April but needs everything to fall into place for his late surge so it's MUFTARRES who gets the nod. Paul Midgeley's charge looked all over a winner at the last meeting when striking the front inside the final furlong but couldn't hold the late burst of Burns Night and can gain compensation.
