In depth

Verdict

LOOK BUSY won despite a sloppy start here last time and is fancied to take top billing again, perhaps at the main expense of Wi Dud and the progressive Hamish McGonagall. Alan Berry's mare is easy to love and she rewarded backers last time with a gutsy performance, holding on well from Masta Plasta late on. She handles any ground, has won here three times and is fancied to make it career win number twelve today. Wi Dud's best effort this year came on his reappearance at Nottingham. His two efforts since have been lacklustre and although he will appreciate the drop in grade, the feeling is that he probably needs some rain. Enderby Spirit needs to be rejuvenated by the visor having seemingly lost his way, Group Therapy's form tailed off at the end of last year but a repeat of his Ascot win in August would see him feature, whilst Judge 'N Jury ran a cracker in the Epsom Dash and with form on tracks with an uphill finish he is not to be messed with. Hamish McGonagall completes the line-up and Tim Easterby's progressive sprinter is on a roll. He chases a hat-trick today after wins at York and Musselburgh and his latest rise in the weights may mean that handicaps are no longer a feasible option; he is certainly respected. The vote however goes to Look Busy.
