Verdict

Another low-grade handicap. John Caesar has won twice around here but has taken 18 runs to reach that total. The lightly-raced BRUTALAB ran his best race to date when beaten a length here last week. He hasn't been beaten far in any of his last four starts and should be breaking his duck soon so gets the nod. Blyton Lass landed a Thirsk seller last time and this isn't much better while Bigbadboy looked like gaining his first victory for two years over the course and distance last month only to be run out of it close home by Zihaam, who runs earlier. Don't Be Surprised was having only his sixth start when runner-up at Hamilton while Majestic Stone landed a Carlisle handicap in May though that was on soft ground.
