Verdict

It's no surprise to see Kevin Ryan bringing out BRIYOUNI (NAP) under a penalty for his Nottingham victory as he won with something in hand after being well supported. He still looked inexperienced so the run will have done him good and he looks much better than a 75-rated handicapper. Cote d'Azur reappeared with a very good run on Polytrack at Lingfield and this much stiffer track should enable him to get into contention. Planetaria isn't the most consistent of performers but battled on well at Redcar though whether he'll do it again is another matter. Frap came with a strong late burst to score over a mile at Carlisle but this is a stiff climb to the finish so the shorter trip shouldn't pose a problem. Fort Jefferson showed a bit of potential in maidens last season and is one to keep an eye on in the market while Mr Potter bounced back to life over a mile at Wetherby on Tuesday when caught right on the line.
