      In depth

      Verdict

MEMORIAL DAY (NAP) has been making steady progress and looked the type to be suited by softer conditions when scoring at Haydock. He has a superb pedigree and his earlier second to Rifle Range on the same track has been given a boost by the winner so he can start making up for lost time. The veteran Hydrant acts in any conditions but is particularly effective on soft going so connections will be hoping the rain has got into the ground. Hulcolt has won three times in his career - all over an extended 7f here. He's yet to prove he stays this far but wasn't stopping last time and looks likely to be suited by the extra. Sophisticated Heir stays a bit further than this and would enjoy any cut in the ground and he's 1lb lower than his latest victory which came on this track in August. Tizlove Regardless ran poorly at Newmarket but that was a better class race and his earlier form puts him right in the picture.
