Verdict

AMADEUS is the only one of these to have won over the trip which he did very easily at Southwell. He was odds-on to defy a 10lb rise at Musselburgh but became upset in the stalls and was never travelling. That wasn't his form and he's taken to gain compensation. Poetic Affair looked a likely future winner when staying on over 1m2f at Lingfield but didn't make the expected improvement on his handicap debut over that trip at Chelmsford. The Knot Is Tied was staying on nicely over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton and his yard is in top form so he can go well, a remark that also applies to Onefootinfront, who did better when upped to this trip on the same track. Mythological has a superb pedigree being a son of Galileo out of a 6f winner from a classic family. He started out with John Gosden and though showing nothing a change of surroundings and a longer trip could bring about improvement.
