    Verdict

POPIEL ran well on his debut and can improve to land this opener at the expense of Noble Jack and Old Street. The selection finished third of ten on his debut here over seven furlongs running green in the process. This drop in trip ought to suit and with further improvement still to come he will take all the beating. Noble Jack is the most experienced in the filed with five career starts. He had shown promise in his first couple of outings but was clearly outclassed in a valuable sales race at Newbury last time out. Back in this company he will have to be respected. Old Street has struggled to trouble the judge in his first two outings but comes from a powerful yard so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to Popiel.
