Verdict

A rather disappointing end to proceedings even though half of the field are previous course and distance winners. Our Lord, Quantum Dot and Picansort all started favourite last time. The latter fared best but nine of his 10 career wins have come on the all-weather. ASK THE GURU has finished last in three of his four latest runs but he comes alive here and won off a 4lb higher mark at the track in April. Beau Mistral could take some catching if allowed to dominate and makes more appeal than stablemate Assertive Agent at the weights.
