In depth

Verdict

This poor contest to close the card should concern those at the top of the handicap, with preference for Six Of Trumps over Hessian, Really Naughty and Sopran Gath. Something will lose its maiden tag here, and as all the rest are fully exposed, the chances are that Six Of Trumps will be a popular choice. Jamie Osborne's three-year-old has had the required three runs to start his handicap career, and on the evidence so far, has the size and scope to progress into a class 4 performer maybe. That is more than can be said for the rest here, and he is the percentage call. Hessian has gone off the boil after a promising start to his three-year-old campaign, while Sopran Gath surely has it to do off topweight. That leaves Really Naughty who at least has the assistance of Richard Quinn who rides this track so well. He can reach the frame at least, but Six Of Trumps stands out in the finale.
