    Verdict

AV A WORD (NAP) has now won three of his last four outings, including a couple of victories over course and distance. Eased down in the closing stages when scoring at Epsom last time, he may not have finished winning yet and can confirm latest running with Pink Ribbon. Funky Footsteps was placed yet again when third at Salisbury and Oden looks a bigger threat having run well at Ripon on his handicap debut. Haulani still looks high enough in the weights while Prerogative has yet to win in 15 starts now.
