In depth

Verdict

This has the makings of a well-contested little handicap and the evergreen The Tatling will have his supporters again after ending a long losing run at Yarmouth. He could easily reverse last month's course running with Stonecrabstomorrow on these more favourable terms. Mandhooma goes well here but her best form is over further and she's a pound higher than when beaten over 7f last time. Peter Island and Highland Harvest are both C&D winners and well treated if returning to form, while Elsie's Orphan scored over track and trip four weeks ago and appears on the upgrade. BERMONDSEY BOB has been put up 6lb for dead-heating at Chepstow but this slightly shorter trip is very much in his favour, as is the quicker ground - he is fancied to follow up.
