Verdict

Peter Hiatt's Mandhooma has to race off a 7lb higher mark than when successful here over the minimum trip last time and that is likely to prevent him from completing a hat-trick, especially with PIAZZA SAN PIETRO in the race and he is hard to oppose with Forest Dane looking the pick of the remainder. The selection escapes a penalty for his win in an apprentice jockey's handicap at Windsor last week and he has an obvious chance racing off the same mark today, getting a confident vote. Irish import, Dashing Beauty, is lightly raced but needs to improve to take a hand and of more interest may be Comadoir who is well in on Polytrack form but is probably better on the artificial surface. Misaro is a consistent performer and should be thereabouts again but could probably do with some help from the handicapper and a bigger threat is likely to come from Forest Dane, who is only 2lbs higher than when scoring narrowly over course and distance last time. Piazza San Pietro has an obvious chance off the same mark as when winning at Windsor and he can follow up that win for Andy Haynes.
