A tricky enough start to the day with NOVALIST getting the nod ahead of Saltergate and Bonne Millie. The selection belied his odds of 100/1 to make the frame at Ripon last time and goes well over the minimum trip and on fast ground. Very much going the right way, he has a favourable draw and may prove up to the task. Saltergate began the season well and came close to winning at Redcar in April, before disappointing last time. If he is over that then there is no reason why he can't go close on ground that suits. Bonne Millie was last on her debut here earlier this month and needs to come on plenty in a short pace of time to be taking this race, but given connections that is not impossible and she has a decent draw to help. Indieslad is certainly bred to go well over sprint trips at two, so money for him would be interesting, although conceding weight to all will be tough and Novalist gets the vote.
