Verdict

A competitive affair with Lopinot put up as our fancy at the principal expense of Lancaster Lad and Prince Valentine. The selection does have to reverse form with the aforementioned Prince Valentine but he will be sporting a first time visor this afternoon and if the money that accompanied him to the track on that occasion is there again, the former 70+ handicapper could be attractively handicapped. Gary Moore's charge finished ahead of our selection on their last meeting and was guilty only of having his pocket picked by Napoletano at the death. He should go well again. Lancaster Lad has a bad draw to work from. This is a step up from the plating contests that he has taken on his last two starts. Hold up performer, Moves Goodenough has ran well over course-and-distance in the past off higher marks. Grey Boy is capable of winning an event of this nature but is proving hard to win with. Astroangel continues to search for a maiden success. Recalcitrant drops back in trip having campaigned over further in recent months. Outer Hebrides is potentially well treated on his earlier form though he has struggled to take advantage in the past. Fantasy Crusader tends to do his winning at this time of year and he is one to note in the market. Lopinot is taken to come out on top.
